NFSTP Food Handler Certification: What food safety topics does NFSTP cover?
Based on the content of the Restaurants Canada ( Formerly CRFA) Food Safety Code of Practice, NFSTP is a comprehensive review of food safety issues and safe food handling practices, including:
> Food Safety Hazards
> Facilities and Equipment Design
> Control of Hazards Following the Flow of Food (HACCP)
> Sanitation and Pest Control
> Employee and Visitor Issues
This course is recognized by all Heath Regions in Canada and meets the certification requirements of the Alberta Food Regulation - Public Health Act Section 31/2006 – Food Safety Training.
How long does it take to complete NFSTP training?
Consisting of eleven teaching modules, NFSTP is designed to include eight hours of classroom instruction, classroom instructional times can also be tailored to suit the needs of your organisation.
What is the cost of NFSTP training?
One of Restaurant Canada's objectives in developing the NFSTP curriculum was to ensure that food safety training would be affordable and accessible to foodservice operators and workers across Canada. Consequently, all efforts have been made to keep certification costs to a minimum. Cost per person: $105.00 (including GST).
